Overview
Fife has 179 kilometres of coastline encompassing dunes, saltmarsh, estuaries, islands and internationally important marine habitats. Its biodiversity planning identifies key sites including the Eden Estuary, Firth of Forth and Isle of May, while supporting conservation of coastal ecosystems that underpin fisheries, recreation, tourism and flood protection.
