Cleaner Seas Through Strong Partnerships

KIMO works with a diverse network of partner organisations to strengthen its impact and deliver practical solutions for healthier seas. These partnerships include local and regional governments, international organisations, research institutions, universities, environmental NGOs and industry stakeholders. By collaborating with organisations such as OSPAR, HELCOM, the European Commission, and academic partners, KIMO helps shape marine policy, shares scientific knowledge and develops innovative projects addressing various sources of marine and coastal pollution such as marine litter, chemical pollution and pollution from shipping. Working in partnership enables KIMO to combine local government experience with scientific expertise and international influence, ensuring that its advocacy, research and practical initiatives deliver meaningful benefits for coastal communities and the marine environment.
