Overview

Eemsdelta combines the Wadden Sea coast with the Eems-Dollard estuary and the industrial port of Delfzijl. Its Marconi Buitendijks project integrated a strengthened sea dike with a new urban beach and restored salt-marsh habitat, reconnecting the city with the Wadden Sea while improving safety and biodiversity.
