Overview

Wassenaar’s North Sea coast includes beaches and valuable dune habitats. The municipality’s Wassenaarse Slag vision seeks a safe, sustainable and nature-conscious coastal destination, while its participation in the QualityCoast programme supports monitoring and improvement of coastal sustainability. The Wassenaarse beach received Blue Flag recognition in 2026.
