Kungälv has a varied Bohuslän coast and archipelago where marine biodiversity, recreation and maritime activity coexist. The municipality’s environmental work addresses marine litter, water quality and biodiversity, including participation in the 8+fjordar partnership. Planning also recognises the need to protect valuable coastal and marine areas from development pressures.
