Tanum has an extensive Bohuslän coastline with islands, shallow waters and valuable marine habitats. The municipality participates in KIMO and the regional Ren Kust partnership, supporting cleaner beaches and marine pollution prevention while protecting coastal biodiversity and balancing fishing, recreation and tourism.
