We asked Karin Meyer, KIMO Sweden’s newly appointed National Coordinator to introduce herself to the members of KIMO International:
I live in Mölnlycke with my husband and two daughters. I am a trained biologist and currently work as an environmental analyst in Environment Administration for the City of Gothenburg. I have over twenty years of experience working with environmental issues at local level in different municipalities. During the last two years I have also worked on strategic issues concerning green structures and planning in The Gothenburg Regional Association of Local Authorities.
My specialist areas of knowledge include biodiversity, nature reserve and ecosystem services. In our age, sustainable development is an imperative. My past experience has taught me how best to communicate the need for sustainable development to a wider audience. KIMO has a very important role for the wellbeing of the marine environment. With full engagement and drawing upon my knowledge, I hope to contribute to this important work. I feel very proud to be a part of it.
