KIMO Sweden's role:
KIMO Sweden supported Västerhavsveckan in 2025, contributing its municipal network and marine-environment expertise to the week’s activities and wider awareness-raising programme.
In August 2025, KIMO Sweden supported Västerhavsveckan, a week during which numerous activities took place along Sweden's west coast.
The initiative provided an opportunity to highlight coastal and marine environmental issues and engage communities around the importance of protecting the marine environment. KIMO Sweden’s involvement formed part of a wider year in which member municipalities continued to pursue their own local projects and campaigns. Rather than operating a new standalone KIMO Sweden campaign in 2025, the network used its collective voice, meetings and partnerships to support local action and strengthen cooperation around shared environmental challenges.
KIMO Sweden strives to participate in Västerhavsveckan every year.
